    Focus on Prevention

You don't have to wait until discomfort turns into pain, or pain turns into limitation. Focusing on preventative measures help us to avoid problems in the future.

We eat healthy to prevent heart attacks, wear seatbelts to avoid injuries, and use sunscreen to prevent skin cancer. It is never too late to start focusing on your posture to prevent spine deformity and back pain. Alleviating the cause of occasional neck or shoulder pain prevents long-term wear and tear on your joints.

Using telecommunications I can virtually visit your workspace and provide you with a list of recommendations for re-configuring your office or leisure environment. Instead of doing a myriad of exercises you've found on YouTube, I will focus your efforts on the few that deliver the most impact on your life. I will create a personalized exercise program for you to achieve your goals.

    COVID-19 information

Physical Therapy is an essential service during the COVID-19 pandemic according to the federal and state authorities.

Patient's safety is my outermost priority, therefore following steps are taken to ensure everyone's safety:

    • Physical therapist is using personal protective equipment (KN95 mask ) when treating patients.
    • Physical therapist sanitizes equipment used during the treatment session before each session.
    • Wearing mask or face covering is strongly recommended for each patient during physical therapy session.

  • ABOUT ME

I received a Master's and then a Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy from Temple University in Philadelphia. I am also a certified provider of LSVT BIG treatment to people with Parkinson's disease, the treatment proven to improve function and potentially slow further symptom progression.

I began my career working at MossRehab Hospital and completing multiple rotations including the Drucker Brain Injury Center, the Stroke and Neurological Disease Center, the Regional Amputee Center, and the outpatient clinic. Then, I worked with senior citizens at The Hill at Whitemarsh retirement community. Afterward, I treated people at their homes, providing outpatient physical therapy with the Genesis Rehab "Vitality to You" program and home care physical therapy with different agencies within the Greater Philadelphia Area. Throughout the 27 years of my career, I have found that the best outcomes were achieved when my patients received personal one-on-one attention and when their treatment protocols were adapted to their environment and lifestyle. Incorporating holistic approach I am going to help you to feel and move better.

You can also find me on a dance floor, in the garden, or making jewelry for my friends.

    WHAT CLIENTS SAY

    Anna M.

"My life changed after I fell and broke my hip. I was afraid to walk without a cane, even at home. Susanna helped me to gain back my confidence, she challenge me with activities that built my strength, and made me more stable on my feet. She also advised me on getting new shoes and making my home safer to prevent any falls in the future."

    Steven K.

"After I was diagnosed with Parkinson's and was referred to physical therapy, I ignored it, medications helped and I was functioning. However, when I complained about not walking right, my neurologist advised me to get treatment by an LSVT certified therapist. So glad I listened. Should have done it before. The program was intense, 4 days a week for 4 weeks, but what a difference! I can walk and turn without stumbling."

    Linda Z.

"Susanna really helped me get my shoulder working again. She worked not only on my shoulder but also my upper back and neck. That helped me stand tall."

    Tanya F.

"I have suffered from low back pain for a while when I started to work with Susanna. She did massage to relax the tight muscles, but the focus was on teaching me how to strengthen my back and abs. She advised me on adjusting my computer and chair, so my back doesn't hurt after a workday now. I returned to playing tennis when even a short walk was impossible two months ago."
